We are all aware of the numerous benefits of eating plenty of fruit. For one thing, it is generally going to mean that you are a lot healthier in your body and mind, because you are more likely to be getting the appropriate nutrients that you need in order to have good health. You will also find it easier to lose weight and keep that weight off, which a lot of people might be keen on. So the question is: how can you ensure that you are getting more fruit into your diet each and every day? Here are some of the major considerations for how you might be able to do that.

Purees

One of the best approaches to this is simply to puree a few fruits each day and then eat them. You can do that in a few ways, for instance by mixing the puree with a little juice and then using that as a compote. That compote can then be stirred into yogurt, used as a topping for a healthy breakfast like porridge, or even used as a sauce with ice cream. Or you can simply eat it as it is. However, this kind of puree goes great with numerous other foods, so it’s something to experiment with.

Smoothies

A very popular way to get more fruit into your diet is to make smoothies. These can be easily created regardless of what the chosen fruits are, and you can spend a lot of time mixing and matching with other fruits and also different veg and seeds to produce a variety of results. Whether you are keen on making green smoothies or you want ones that are purely berries, you can simply do whatever you want to suit your taste. That is the great thing about smoothies.

Fruitsicles

If you find yourself during a summer’s day wondering what healthy snack to have, why not turn some fruit into homemade fruitsicles? These are amazingly simple to make, and especially so if you have some ice lolly holders, but even if you don’t you can still do this. These lollies can be whatever flavor you like, so you can get creative with it, and you might be surprised at how healthy they can prove to be as well. Next time you want something to cool down on a hot day, this is definitely worth considering, as you might find it fun to do as well.

Salsas


Finally, consider making a fruit salsa. This is essentially a kind of salad, but made using exotic fruits. If you chop up some pineapple and add it to mango, or peaches, and then put all that in together with red onion chopped up and cucumber, you are well on your way to a delicious salsa. You just then want to add in some mint or coriander, or perhaps both, to complete the dish. If you like a kick, you could also add some chopped chili, but that is entirely up to you.
